Charlotte Plummer: Fresh Seafood Catch in Rockport, Texas
My friends and I ventured near the sea for an overnight stay at a beach house in Rockport, Texas. It was shortly a week before the Hurricane Harvey destroyed the port. I was brokenhearted when I saw the aftermath of the hurricane. We spent a really great time here in this town, and because it was just beautiful.
I felt like I was in a set of a drama TV show.
Getting there was also unique. If you’re riding by car, they get to transport you and your car (with you inside) in this ship. I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s incredible how the state can support transportation between islands using this method. After the hurricane, I believed they shut this down temporarily.
And here, our view is vast like the ocean. It’s a never ending beauty and awe of the location.
We only stayed for a night at my friend’s beach house and dined at Charlotte Plummer. Assuming we’re near the sea, then we should get fresh seafood off the coast, right?
Fried Seafood Platter – $18.99 (Small)
I got the Fried Seafood Platter, because I always like eating a little bit of everything. There’s fried fish fillet, scallops, oysters, crab, U-Peel-Um shrimps and fried shrimps. It wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t good either.
We treated our friend here who had been graciously driving us around in his town and we’re so thankful for him spending time with us. Of course, he was also happy we’re chaperoning him around and happy to let us discover Texas with him.
