CRAFTSMAN and WOLVES, San Francisco: Unleash the Rebel Within
After trying out Craftsman and Wolves (CAW), I couldn’t wait to write about it and tell you my experience about it. There’s nothing to hate about CAW. I am in love with the whole concept, from its brand to its coffee to the very bread and pastries that give life to this specialty coffee shop. If you ask me where my favorite coffee shop is in the whole of San Francisco, I can say without hesitation that Craftsman and Wolves wins my heart.
While there is only one store at the moment, Russian Hill residents can expect the second CAW Coffee shop opening before the year ends. Another store will be opening soon in Culver City inside the Platform boutique retail store.
Chef William Werner is true to his craft of bringing in innovative pastries that keep CAW current in the patisserie scene.
The Rebel Within
Take, for example, the signature Rebel Within draws a crowd with its element of surprise: a runny soft-cooked egg and asiago cheese stuffed inside the muffin.
The Morning Bun
The Morning Bun is equally delicious, pillowy soft and fulfilling, along with CAW’s standard cup of latte made with Highwire Coffee Roasters.
It isn’t the best coffee but Craftsman and Wolves has this aura of drawing seemingly innocent coffee drinkers but innately CAW loyalists from Silicon Valley startups. I, for one, am turning into a CAW loyalist.
I don’t mind facing the wall. The wall is just as entertaining as every nook and cranny.
Lines form as early as its opening time, and their Valrhona Chocolate Chip cookies sell as fast as their Rebel Within.
Taking a bite of the Rebel Within and sipping coffee at Craftsman and Wolves is a natural, animalistic instinct.
