Have you ever survived almost 24 hours with airline food? Frankly I did, onboard Delta Airlines. And for 24 hours, there’s nowhere I’d rather be than 30,000 feet in the air, my favorite place in the world.
Flying more than 350 destinations worldwide and serving more than 160 million passengers a year, Delta Airlines has been giving the “Delta” difference onboard.
Route: Manila – Narita – Los Angeles – Minneapolis – Boston – New York – Manila
My itinerary was MNL-NRT-LAX-MSP-BOS-JFK-MNL. From West Coast to East Coast, I’ve traveled far and wide to bring you the best cuisine in Boston. And I had to go through Delta Airlines’ inflight meals, which some of you might really say, “Oh no, I am going to gain weight again!” It’s because our tastebuds become bland due to the high pressure and humidity up in the air, that meals need to be that flavorful and have a lot of seasoning, more than it should have.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meals. Here are some of them, onboard Boeing 747, Bombardier via Delta Connection, Airbus 300-600… Did I miss any model?
A Filipino breakfast, surprisingly served. I love every bit of it.
Some peanuts before meals are in order.
Eating while listening to my favorite Imagine Dragons playlist is heavenly. I like that I can rewind, pause, play and fast forward any major film released and any soundtrack of my favorite, something that is a must-have for long haul flights onboard Boeing 747 and Boeing 777.
Kung Pao Chicken was very oriental, served with some salad, Shrimp cocktails and a lovely box that had nice butter cake in it.
It was a thoughtful package.
I lost track of time, but the cabin lights were out and everyone had the chance to get a good “night’s” sleep. I, on the other hand, purposefully watched Patrick Wilson’s The Conjuring film. My Japanese seat-mate gasped in surprise on several occasions at all the horrific scenes. I might have woken up two or three people at the back. 😉 It was planned.
This has to be the cutest breakfast box ever. Chocolate croissants, yogurt and orange juice is my ultimate breakfast choice. Oh and Delta Airlines is powered by inflight wifi Gogo Inflight Internet.
On the other hand, this scrambled eggs and rice breakfast was so wet. Forced myself to eat it otherwise I will go hungry.
Some of you might get tired of eating inflight meals, but to me, it was worth every bite, and worth every second I was onboard Delta Airines.
I highly recommend choosing Delta Airlines for your US flights. It might be one of the worst airlines in terms of customer service, but I will still prefer Delta Airlines. Try to avoid Detroit connecting flights as it can mess up your itinerary like it did to mine. Got rerouted to the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis instead, but I love Minneapolis. I shall go back one day.
