It’s true that Disney offers a magical experience. From the day you arrive at Orlando International Airport all the way to your last day, Disney gives you the full experience.
If you are looking for a best value hotel in Orlando to stay and enjoy Walt Disney World without breaking the bank, I highly recommend the Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Their family suites, with interiors inspired by characters from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo, are great for the entire family. They have multiple beds and sofa beds so that everyone can sleep well rested for the entire trip.
Their lobby boasts with original character animation sketches from Disney’s character artists, and the hotel offers workshops where kids can learn how to draw their favorite character.
The best part of this resort is that everyone in the family has keys to the room, and these wristbands serve as that. These wristbands are also tied to your credit card that you used upon checkin, so be careful if your kids are using that to buy stuff in the park and don’t lose them even though they are PIN-protected! You can also download the My Disney Experience companion app where you can track all of your purchase history within the parks and in the resort. Wristbands track all of your movement, so don’t freak out if you find a photo from riding the Space Mountain in the app!
And yes, it’s a resort, so you have plenty of swimming pools to make you feel like you’re in Ariel’s world.
Also, the resort has it’s own cafeteria, with plenty of Asian, American and Italian selections. You can order one whole pepperoni pizza for only USD 14.99! And I love their meatballs and polenta dish. It’s so good.
A word of warning: You can really gain weight here because if you purchase their tumbler, you’ll have unlimited soda, coffee and tea for your entire stay. It’s creepy, because the vending machines only recognize the NFC tumblers if you’re thinking of using your own container.
Disney Bus Schedule
To get to the four parks of Walt Disney World, Disney Springs and the other resorts, you can ride their free shuttle, just outside of the hotel lobby.
The My Disney Experience mobile app now also features bus schedules so you don’t have to line up under the sun.
Overall, staying at this hotel feels like being in the Lotus Casino in the movie Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. You’ll never want to get out of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
