In NYC, 99 cents pizzas thrive any time of the day, and boom during wee hours of the morning to cure a hangover. There’s also the Lox and Cream Cheese bagel staple that you must have every morning. But there’s also the cheesecake side of things. When in Brooklyn, there is the one and only Juniors Cheesecake, East Coast’s own version of the Cheesecake Factory.
Juniors Cheesecake has been around since the 50’s serving diner food and dessert creations that today, are way way overpriced. There’s loads of better places where you can eat, so stay away from their set menus. It attracts elderly patrons who seem to be Junior loyalists, but if you’re young like me, you just have to try their cheesecakes.
For roughly $8, this slice of Strawberry Cheesecake is tad expensive, but the plump and juicy strawberries didn’t disappoint, and neither the creaminess and tartness of the cheesecake too.
Juniors also serves key lime cheesecake and pumpkin cheesecake, unique variants that satiate your cake cravings. It’s definitely okay to splurge once in a while!
Forty bucks for one whole cake? That’s really expensive, but special occasions call for special cakes.
And as Marie Antoinette would say, “let them eat cake!”
