Allow me to point you to the best coffee shop in Seattle. (Or even the best coffee I’ve had, beating Cafe Corridor in HK.)

In Seattle, there are probably two coffee places that people normally point you to.
1. The first Starbucks store at 1912 Pike St. – whose lines are so insane it’s nothing more than bragging rights to be in the first Starbucks store.
2. Starbucks Roastery and Tasting Room

While both are unique to its own right, there is one coffee place that I would recommend to you.

Monorail Espresso isn’t very hard to find in Downtown Seattle. If you do ask for directions, a word of warning – 20 cents for directions to the monorail. $2 if you’re trying to find the Gum Wall. And if you do try to ask where Banana Republic was, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

All cups of coffee at Monorail Espresso has 2 shots of espresso. But the taste of coffee goes beyond shots of espresso. I recommend getting the Americano so you can taste the best of the barista’s skill.

And also some Top Pot Doughnuts. They’re so good. You can grab some of these doughnuts at Stewart Street, about 2 blocks away from Pike Place Market.
