San Antonio Riverwalk, Texas

I think traveling to cities like New York and San Francisco are vastly overrated. Texas has a lot of texploration it has to offer, and there are excellent destinations that can keep you really interested. Less commercial, less mainstream.

San Antonio Riverwalk is just the right amount of mix for me. And that’s partly why visiting Texas made it really good. I only dreamed about visiting Texas from watching those Man vs. Food videos on the Lifestyle Network and coming here is like a goal accomplished for me.

If you happen to be in San Antonio, Texas, and looking for a place to unwind, or go for a couple round of drinks, try the San Antonio Riverwalk. Here, you get a plethora of dining choices – all authentic Tex Mex food, and I kid you not – it’s one of the best I have tried.

The San Antonio River has a long dated history since 1536. Today, this 15-mile river boasts restaurants, a boat ride, moonlight strolls and even the bridge where Jennifer Lopez filmed Selena.

Of course, you would have to ride the boat to see that. By riding the boat, you can get a 360 degree view of the San Antonio Riverwalk, and it’s the best way to experience this entertainment destination. Here, you can see your dining options before deciding on one. The Rivercenter Mall is also in view as you ride the boat.

San Antonio Riverwalk also pays homage to Saint Anthony de Padua, the saint that the city was named after. Saint Anthony is the Patron Saint of the lost children.

We capped off the night with a delicious dinner at one of the Tex Mex restaurants, Cafe Ole. And of course, I wouldn’t settle for a burrito. I happily filled my tank with a glass of Margarita (a strong one too) and Enchiladas – authentic spicy ones.
