Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant Menu

After the holidays and labor day weekend (and the upcoming school opening), I am under the impression that most of you are looking for delicious eats that won’t hurt your pocket so much after all the extravagant spending. So I decided to write about Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant, a place that isn’t new to many yet some who are not residents in the area haven’t tried it yet.

I couldn’t resist blogging about SINCERITY CAFE & RESTAURANT, one of my favorite, unpretentious fried chicken recipes that is both affordable and addictive. Since Uy Mo Koan and Uy Lim Bee’s humble beginnings of a hole-in-a-wall mami restaurant in Carvajal offering authentic Amoy cuisine, Sincerity has now slowly becoming a default for many locals as the go-to place to enjoy delicious, crunchy Sincerity Fried Chicken.

(Sincerity is known as SINCERE CAFE & RESTAURANT in Banawe, Quezon City.)

For me, Sincerity is reminscient of Singapore’s legendary Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh, where heirloom recipes have been passed from generation to generation to continuously serve dishes en masse without loosing their quality. Today, Sincerity is being run by the 3rd generation of the owner’s family.

Today, Sincerity’s brand is synonymous to Fried Chicken, Fried Oyster Cake, Duck Misua with Legendary Herbs Soup and their addicting Fried Kikiam, all of which are going to keep your stomach happy without breaking your bank.

Sincerity Fried Chicken, Fried Rice and Fried Kikiam

When you go to Sincerity Restaurant, order my three must have dishes: Sincerity Fried Chicken, Fried Rice, and Fried Kikiam. These three are the perfect start to your meal.

Coupled with Sincerity’s special gravy sauce, Sincerity’s Fried Chicken has this crunchy, addictive taste that will change the way you look at fried chicken. The photo does not do the fried chicken justice. Not many know this, but their recipe is spiked with ginger that gives it that kind of rustic, oriental flavor that’s fragrant to your tastebuds.

You can order Sincerity’s Fried Chicken in half for only P150, the whole for P300. The half portion is good for 2-3 people, while the whole is great for 4-6 people. Pretty cheap!

Just like Sincerity’s Fried Chicken, their fried Kikiam, which costs only P55, is one of their bestsellers. It has an equally unique flavor and taste that’s even better with their gravy.

To complement the strong flavors, Sincerity’s fried rice is really tasty. Small size is priced at P50 and is good for 1-2 people, while the big portion is only for P80 and good for 3-4 people. I usually like to drizzle the fried rice with gravy also. And as you can see, almost everything is great with their gravy.

If you’re in for more fried foods, Sincerity’s Oyster Cake should be a match to your tastebuds seeking for an exotic flavor. Oysters, beansprouts and assorted vegetables are all fried to form a pancake that’s a little close to okonomiyaki. Sincerity fans love this for its toasted egg edges that’s better when dipped in ketchup rather than the gravy or vinegar.

Sincerity Satay Beef Chami – P120 (Small); P180 (large)

Sincerity Beef Chami

One of my favorite dishes at Sincerity is their Satay Beef Chami. This hot bowl of fried udon-style noodles is a tad spicy, flavorful and satay infused with beef strips. I like that this is an option for those who don’t want to eat rice and want something different.

Other dishes that Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant is known for are their signature Chinese Lumpia, Duck Misua with Legendary Herbs soup, Cha Misua and the Loba. I occasionally order these for a different variety to my Sincerity default dishes.

Overall, Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant is one of my go to places for a quick meal where the taste and quality of the dishes are consistent. I must have been here for more than 20 times, but the quality never does change. The place is great also for sharing or large groups heading out to eat but are under budget.

If going downtown Binondo is a hassle for you and your car, I would recommend you to go to the Sincere Cafe and Restaurant Banawe branch as some complain the other branches including the one in Lucky Chinatown Mall don’t prepare that signature Fried Chicken taste that most are accustomed to. And we all say, the hole-in-a-walls are always the best spots to enjoy the full dining experience versus the commercialized ones.
