Spot Dessert Bar, NYC

Spot Dessert Bar is hard to miss when in St Marks Place in East Village. There are two locations along that street, about two stores away from each other and there’s lines outside. It’s the most popular dessert bar and nightcap that students and locals in the area always visit. And their desserts? Phenomenal.

The Harvest

Spot Dessert Bar NYC

The Harvest is just about my favorite out of their delectable selection. It’s quite an interactive dish, with a pot of plant that has soft cheesecake, raspberry sorbet and oreo crumbs on top of it. To eat, you’ll have to “water” the plant with rose milk tea that’s served on the side. The mixture is one of those creamy cheesecake that is just so sinful.

Golden Toast

Spot Dessert Bar NYC

Ah, my second favorite at Spot Dessert Bar. This puts all the Japanese style toasts to shame with its buttery taste in every bite. The ice cream not only gives it sweetness, but condensed milk matches the crispyness of the butter toast like yin and yang.

Cookie Camp

Spot Dessert Bar NYC

This is your usual ice cream on top of a giant cookie in a skillet. But this cookie is actually a marshamallow cookie and it’s just delicious when its still piping hot and the ice cream gives it a nice cool contrast. Overall, it’s sweetness overload but you’ll want this all to yourself.

Big Orange

Spot Dessert Bar NYC

The Big Orange is one of their Fall and Winter specials and is like a giant orange. When you cut it in half, you’ll see that this signature dessert has layers of really rich goodness inside of a crusty exterior.

Creme Brulee

Spot Dessert Bar NYC

This is like a standard creme brulee meets some cheesecake consistency. For those who like their desserts dainty and light.

I would recommend going with a group of friends, so you can get the sampler at $10 and try a little bit of everything.
