If you’re ever in Mission District, there’s absolutely no valid excuse for you to skip eating a Mission burrito. There are a lot of Mexican taquerias along the beautiful street of Valencia, particularly because of its community, and thank God for them, because they cook the best Mexican cuisine in San Francisco. If you think Chipotle burrito is already amazing (pre-E-Coli news), you haven’t seen nothing yet.
There’s El Farolito in Mission District, and many more others, but The Little Chihuahua (TLC) serves as a quick stop for anyone looking for a quick Mexican fix.
Baby Fajita Burrito – $7.95
I like The Little Chihuahua’s wide variety of portion sizes – from Regular, to Super Burrito, to Baby Burrito, and Super Baby. It’s a great way to estimate how much you can eat, because portion sizes in the US are usually larger than Asian. So if you’re an Asian, go for the Baby Burrito. It’s also good to share, because The Little Chihuahua has more dishes on the menu worth trying.
We ordered the classic Fajita Burrito, which is no brainer, a burrito stuffed with smoky chicken, cheese, cilantro, beans and pico de gallo.
Pollo Asado Enchiladas – $11.95
My favorite at The Little Chihuahua is their Enchiladas, which is incredibly flavorful filled with cheese, queso freco, poblano peppers, grilled onions, Mexican rice and cilantro. You can choose either red sauce or green sauce to go along with your enchiladas, but I always go for the spicy one.
Good news for vegans. The Little Chihuahua is your only saving grace with their Fried Plantain and Black Bean Burrito.
