Top 10 Foods to Eat in Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates

Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the world. Which means — you’ll probably be lost in all of the culinary adventures at Dubai Mall. And the worst part here is that after shopping in tens of hundreds of stores, you’ll get hungry. We wouldn’t want you to land at McDonald’s. As glamorous as your closet is going to be, your stomach deserves more than chicken nuggets. No scratch that, because you can find the best chicken fingers there is in Dubai Mall.

Here are the top 10 foods you must eat at Dubai Mall:

1. Eataly

Address: Dubai Mall – Downtown Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

It’s true you can find anything in Dubai. That includes New York‘s Eataly. So go Italian for a day: eat a slice, a cup of Straciatella gelato or Nonna’s tiramisu. Better yet, a cup of cappuccino to start the day.

2. Albaik

Address: Dubai Mall – Downtown Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

Saudi Arabia’s popular “broast” chicken store Albaik is in the heart of Dubai mall! Come queue early for some chicken fillet fingers, breakfast felafel wraps and eat the signature Albaik bun. Don’t worrry about racking up more pounds. You’ll lose them after you shop a few Balmain stores.

3. Wimpy

Address: 57WH+QVM – Financial Center Rd – Downtown Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

While you’re still at the food court, try out Wimpy. These burgers hail originally from Bloomington, Indiana and established back in 1934, making it one of the oldest burger institutions in the United States. (and I know, brings me memories of Dick’s Drive In in Seattle.) At Wimpy’s, try out their Chicky Tenders. While not as best as JAILBIRD, it’s certainly noteworthy.

4. Royal Donuts

If you’re looking for some sweet tooth warm up, Europe’s fastest growing doughnut brand Royal Donuts can also be found in Dubai Mall. These donuts are so much fun (and icky pink) with the infusion gimmick. You can choose between nutella, hazelnut and vanilla flavors to plunge in your already sweet macaron and strawberry cheesecake donuts. But who cares? It’s a cheat day.

5. Markette

Address: Unit #168 – 1, G Floor, Dubai Mall – Financial Center Rd – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

Dubai Mall is not all about fast food. If you stop by the Aquarium, right in front of it is Markette. It’s one of my favorite restaurants, because their Shish Taouk is so incredibly tender. Highly recommended if you’re someone looking to sit back, relax, unwind and bask in the energy of Dubai Mall.

6. Cheesecake Factory

Address: Dubai Mall – near Aquarium – Downtown Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

And while you’re at the Aquarium, it’s so hard to miss the Cheesecake Factory. I encourage you to book a table early, because the waiting time can go for as long as 40 minutes.

To Cheesecake Factory newbies, order the Orange Chicken and go crazy with a cheesecake slice (or two).

7. Cafe Bateel / Bateel Boutique

Address: Level 2, Al Bahar Souk, Dubai Mall – Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd – Dubai – United Arab Emirates
Unit 119 – Financial Center Rd – Downtown Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

If you happen to be at Souq Al Bahar, which is also around the Dubai Mall real estate, grab a box of Bateel’s famous dates. I recommend Medjool dates. They’re soft, fibrous and larger that other varieties. Bateel sells dates that are slightly more expensive than the ones sold in the market, but the courteous staff might give you some free Mamoul (dates biscuit).

8. Hafiz Mustafa 1864

Address: The Dubai Mall, Fountain Level – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

And if you’re itching for some traditional Middle Eastern desserts, Turkiye’s Hafiz Mustafa 1864 satisfies that craving with their tableside baklavas and the ultimate cheese pull, kunafe.

9. Angelina Paris

Address: Unit GF – 016 , The Dubai Mall, Fashion Avenue – Financial Center Rd – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

The quintessential Angelina Paris is a no brainer if you have an extra day to spare in Dubai. While I recommend Hafiz Mustafa more than Angelina, it’s always hard to resist a cup of L’african Hot Chocolate and some macarons.

10. SALT Burgers

Address: Souk Al Bahar Bridge, Dubai Mall – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

SALT Burger is one of the most popular burger chains in Dubai. They serve their burgers at the Souq Al Bahar bridge slider way, albeit bigger than White Castle burgers. The best part of eating at SALT burger? Unblocked views of Burj Al Khalifa.

Bonus

I forgot the name of the food stall at Dubai Mall food court serving these Basmati Rice meals. The lamb chops were some of the best I’ve tried, and the saffron spiced basmatic is peppered with cranberries. They’re a little pricey for food court standards, so I’m leaving it here as a bonus pick. Two thumbs up if you’re hungry and want to fill up the tank with something filling.

We’re only scratching the surface in Dubai Mall with these 10 foods. Don’t miss out some international renowned brands like Yann Couvreur from Paris and Yamanote Atelier from Japan, also in Dubai Mall. Dubai is truly the #1 destination in the world.
