Oh, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! I think despite all of the challenges of the pandemic, one thing we should all keep in mind is to remain positive. Be happy and be in the present moment. And while we’re at that, there’s no better way than to gather at the Christmas Wonderland 2021 at Gardens by the Bay!
I know what you’re thinking, Singapore is boring. *haha* But this is the closest thing we’re going to get to a Hyde Park Winter Wonderland level of excitement. Those were my thoughts when I went to the Hendrick’s Holiday Hot Air Balloon Bar. With a view of a Rialto-bridge type of installation and the Garden Rhapsody Light Show (with lights dancing to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock), I was ecstatic that the organizers put up something like this. It’s very heartening and definitely chased the blues away.
So whether you’re a Singaporean, taking advantage of your Singapore Rediscover Vouchers at Marina Bay Sands, or you’re Malaysian on the VTL and are itching to explore the best of Singapore… Here’s what’s new at the Christmas Wonderland 2021 at Gardens by the Bay.

You’re going to have to pay separately to ride the carousel. You can book Double Storey Carousel tickets on KKDay as well.
Last year’s installation was also here to do another encore. They were still good though!

The alfresco dining was a great addition to this year’s Christmas Wonderland. If the Gardens by the Bay had a bigger space, they should definitely add food trucks.
Also, the alfresco dining could use some hot chocolate with whip cream is an awesome idea. (Hello, Angelina? I would seriously earn tons of $$$ if I put up a hot cocoa stand. Hyde Park‘s most popular booth was their hot chocolate. That and the CHURROS.) That’s what’s Christmas is about — warmth and sweetness.
Not bitter like Sailor’s Christmas. While the spiced rum did warm me, the cream was diluted and the bartender dunk my candy cane so bad, I was disgusted. Might as well buy a different drink!
I wasn’t impressed with the food vendors though. So sitting at the benches, chilling, and watching the Garden Rhapsody Light show was better.

Happiest Christmas to you all!
