If you’re like me, you probably also have a list of coffee shops in your bucket list. One coffee shop that I’ve been itching to tick is Equate Coffee, which used to only have its branch at Tanjong Pagar. So when they opened at Orchard Central, taking Cafe Morozoff’s spot (shame), I was beyond ecstatic. Everyone’s raving about Equate Coffee’s quality coffee.
This is a giant surprise, because Orchard Central and 313 Somerset are so crowded with coffee shops. Alchemist, % Arabica and There Was No Coffee. % Arabica is expensive, Alchemist not a strong crema, and There was No Coffee, well, not a fan of it.
Here you can get their mains — Shakshuka, Cold Truffle Pasta and Fish Tortillas — but for now, I’m contented with a cup of latte.
Equate Coffee sells their White for $5 at 6oz. Add 50 cents more for 8oz. It’s small TBH, but it can actually compete with % Arabica.
The earth vibes are enough for me to go back to. It’s a perfect spot to sit back and relax and maybe try out some pastries.
