Following my really bad experience at Park Bench Deli, I was still craving for a good sandwich. I remembered my coworkers once mentioned to me Korio and how much they love the grilled cheese sandwich. Korio isn’t too far from Telok Ayer, and I thought, why not? If there is an alternative in the area that serves better sandwiches, then why eat at Park Bench Deli?
And I was right. I went to Korio very early in the morning to grab their best-selling Breakfast Sammy. Crispy spam, gribiche, chives and American cheese in this sandwich and you’ve got a really filling one. It only costs you $12, so it’s not going to put a dent in your budget.
Other crowd favorites include the Tuna Melt, Grilled Cheese and their own rendition of Croque Monsieur. Oh and did I mention they also have doughnuts?
Korio sells out pretty quickly, and they’re only opened until 1:30pm. So if you want to grab their Breakfast Sammy, better come here early. Korio has no dine in seating, and only good for takeaways. But still, who can resist a good sandwich?
So, would you spend $18 on PBD’s measly Italian Hero, or $12 for Korio’s awesome sandwich? I’ll definitely be back for more.
