If there’s one restaurant that embodies a brick and mortar that is like a country-style house that you can dream of having in a quiet countryside, that’s Mom and Tina’s. It’s a restaurant for all ages, whether it’s your 3 year old niece or your 80 year old grandfather. Mom and Tina’s Bakery & Cafe has this certain aura that emits home in more than just comfort food. The place is for every bit of occasion: birthdays, business meetings, family and social gatherings.

Mom and Tina's Bakery & Cafe

Mom and Tina’s has been around for more than five years already. But it still hasn’t lose its luster. From club sandwiches to signature cupcakes to beef entrees to chocolate desserts to pasta — you name it and Mom and Tina’s has each and every comfort food you can think of.

I am fortunate that Mom and Tina’s is just a walking distance away from my work. I can drop by the restaurant anytime. It’s the venue I immediately think of when it comes to bonding with my coworkers.

For starters, you can get their Soup of Day, which in this particular day, is Bacon Spinach Creamy Mushroom Soup.

I would highly recommend you to try out their Chicken Spinach Lasagna or Meat Lasagna. It comes with two dinner rolls. In fact all of their pasta comes with two dinner rolls.

They also have the Chicken Alexander pasta. I find it funny that the pasta are curly. This is their bestselling pasta.

Another of their bestsellers is the kid’s favorite, Baked Chicken Macaroni. Personally I really like the presentation of their pasta in a small cup of bowl, that’s not truly small, but full of cheesy goodness inside it. There’s something cozy that emanates home in every bite.

I wasn’t feeling a bit hungry so I opted for some Chicken Salad Sandwich, which I thought was going to be light lunch, but turned out to look like a burger. My friend mistook it for a burger too. These are served with chips, which I like about sandwiches generally. (Though Mandarin Deli’s sandwich is still incomparable for me.)

Well, my coworkers and I love to chit chat over a few desserts wildly shared. Each of us take tiny bites of everything to get the most of the dessert.

The Coconut Cupcake is so cute and dainty. Mom and Tina’s is actually well-known for their delicious cupcakes and mini ensaymadas. (which for non-Tagalog speaking readers out there is like a bun topped with grated cheese and sugar.)

Or if you’re the type who likes Sansrivals, I would highly recommend you to get the White Toblerone Walnut Torte, or the Dark Toblerone Walnut Torte. It’s chewy, sweet, and mousse-like, much like the taste when you eat Toblerone topped with ice cream. It’s the perfect dessert.

On a lighter note, I should warn you that the place can get pretty full at times since it’s near a workplace and your group might end up seated on its second floor. I don’t recommend you sitting on the second floor, much like my discouragement about you sitting on the first floor of IHOP in Bonifacio Global City Taguig, because the customer service and the ventilation is quite poor.
