Muji Cafe BGC Menu

Have you ever gone to a coffee shop, lined up, and left the coffee shop empty-handed? Well, that’s what happened to me at Muji Cafe in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

I was really looking forward to trying out their coffee. To be honest, Muji Cafe in other parts of the world, Singapore, for example, doesn’t really have queues other than during peak meal times. And mind you, they serve full set meals too. So I was really surprised when I saw long queues at Muji Cafe in BGC Central Square.

Madness. Insanity is what the queueing system is. I only wanted to get a cup of latte and maybe a croissant. But as it turned out, everything was sold out.

I couldn’t order their pastries and so I settled for a latte and the peach tea.

But here’s the problem. And I don’t know if the queueing system remained to be this way, but they take your order and ask you to line up again just to pay.

What the f is that?

So as it turns out, you now have 3 queues. Order. Pay. Collect your order.

Not a single restaurant or coffee shop or bubble tea place has ever done that during hype periods.

I usually have the patience to line up in restaurant openings. But this was too ridiculous for me to bother trying out.

And so you end up lining up 30 minutes for ordering. Another 30-40 minutes for payment — because everyone’s paying through Gcash so that takes a while. And another 30 minutes to get your order.

I decided to cancel my order because a cup of coffee at Muji wasn’t worth my time. I know it’s new. And Muji should have expected that since Manila crowd has always been this way… Queue at the latest brand to land in the shores of Manila and TikTok about it.

So don’t get disappointed about this post that I didn’t get a chance to review their latte… Maybe I will, eventually, but perhaps when the hype dies down.
