Upper Thomson Road has a belt of coffee shops and restaurants waiting for you to discover. With Upper Thomson Line opening, it has gotten more convenient to trek this part of Singapore. From Hello Arigato, to Knockhouse cafe (formerly Pacamara), to One Man coffee, one weekend isn’t even enough for all of these gastronomy.
I wanted a quiet coffee time to myself after getting a Rye Sourdough at Woodlands Sourdough. Went to the newly opened Oaks Coffee Co right beside Hello Arigato and a block away from Woodlands Sourdough. Their white is quite a good cup. If you’re ever waiting on a queue at Hello Arigato, Oaks Coffee Co is a good option for standby. I do that with my friends sometimes. Back in HK, we had tapas and wine at WTF before dining at Ho Lee Fook. You just need to have two stomachs. Hehe.)
I have yet to try out their brunch spread, because I’m a bit too tired of eating eggs, toast, and mesclun salad and avocados served in almost all brunch places. It’s getting too repetitive. Nothing innovative. Same menu, over and over again.
