Ferry Building Marketplace, San Francisco

As I blogged in my $2 oysters feature, the Ferry Building Marketplace serves as my favorite place to spend for a day trip to San Francisco. I chanced upon here the second time during the Google I/O 2016, the annual Google Developers Conference held usually at Moscone Convention Center. As the event was taking place in Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View near Googleplex this year, I couldn’t pass the opportunity of visiting The City for a day trip.

Taking a Caltrain from Mountain View towards 4th and King, it’s very easy to reach the Ferry Building Marketplace by taking the E for Embarcadero line that’s right across the Caltrain Station. After roughly half an hour, I reached the Ferry Building Marketplace (and I was the only one who got off this stop). Oddly enough, people loved to go towards the end of the line for Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. While these are also touristy spots that you must go no matter how much San Franciscans get tired of it, I highly recommend the Ferry Building Marketplace, where you can spend eating $2 oysters, grab the ACME bread to go, bask in Humphry Slocombe’s ice cream, or just chill with the New Orleans Ice Cold Brew.

What I love the most about the Ferry Building Marketplace is how close it was to the Financial District. It is right across Market Street, and if you love walking like I do, the Market Street is definitely the way to go.

Here’s the coolness of a photo diary, where there are no need for words. Only in graphic delight.
