Who doesn’t love Takoyaki balls?
Only those whose arrogant and gluttonous tastebuds are way way too sophisticated for the common folk and calls such food cheapo. LOL.
Literally translating to Grilled Octopus, everyone’s favorite street food has got to be Takoyaki. And Gindaco Takoyaki is a world-known takoyaki maker that has branches from Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and of course, Japan.
Takoyaki originated in Osaka and is a famous street food, but in Tokyo, takoyaki is much loved there as well. You can have 8 glorious balls of hot dough-filled, takoyaki for 550 yen only! And be sure you don’t eat it while walking since Japanese find eating while walking rude.
Be careful! Takoyaki balls are very hot inside. What I like about Gindaco’s Takoyaki is that it’s exterior is crunchy and crispy, a little sweet, while the inside is melting hot. I’m not a fan of the octopus inside, but I’m glad, there’s octopus inside! Here in Manila, there’s loads of Takoyaki stands that are only full of dough and cabbage, nothing more.
If you’re looking for a stretch to your usual takoyaki, Gindaco also has cheese takoyaki. Or you can choose two flavors in one boat, and have it for 1050 yen only. And they also have Daiyaki for 210 yen!
Don’t miss eating everyone’s favorite street food in Tokyo!
