Sunday Brunch at the Metropolitan Opera Grand Tier Restaurant
The Grand Tier Restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera in Lincoln Plaza is usually the go-to place to grab a bite for those watching a ballet performance, productions, and opera experiences like The Ring. But owing to the demand of brunches in New York City, lo and behold – Sunday Brunch at the Met Opera.
Sometimes, you just want to experience things for the sake of telling stories. I spent a Sunday brunch here with my friends for a prix fixe menu of $48++ and free flowing bellinis.
Yogurt Parfait
It was the most expensive yogurt I’ve ever had. Thanks, but I can do this at home.
Eggs Benedict
The Eggs Benedict wasn’t as good as the one I tried at Carroll Place in Bleecker. It’s mediocre.
I can’t say anything was good with their Sunday brunch but I’m going to be honest even though I spent nearly $60 for a Sunday breakfast that’s just made of eggs. So we were all tipsy in daylight after 4 glasses of bellinis. Call that trying to make the most out of our buck.
Brunch should be a cuisine in itself – techniques on how to make the best egg benedicts in NYC. Can’t they cook anything else???
It was nice while some matinee opera singers serenade you, but I won’t be going back.
