If you happen to visit Hudson Yards, without a doubt, you’d want to dine in one of its restaurants overlooking the Vessel and the Hudson River. Though Queensyard is a default for some, I’d say dine at Estiatorio Milos, add a bit more to your budget, and have a fine dinner to remember.

Mind you, I am not a huge fan of greek cuisine, because I’m not a greens person. Very rarely do I even crave olive oil based food, unless it was pasta. But Estiatorio Milos’ extensive seafood selection has radically altered my taste.

Transatlantic Siberian Martini

I got a glass of martini to start, which comes with feta olives that’s submerged in vodka for more than 24 hours. It was incredibly strong.

Magiatiko Tartare
Serrano chili, micro basil, orange

We got the Magiatiko Tartare to start. I”m not a huge fan of raw appetizers unless I’m eating sushi, so this was a big deviation from my comfort food. But the spiciness of the chili and the freshness of the magiatiko was a great starter for a meal.

Lightly fried zucchini, eggplant tzatziki and kefalograviera cheese

Known as Milos’ Special, the lightly fried zucchini tastes like tempura, so I wasn’t too fond of it. I found myself seeking a cleaner catch, one that I found with…

Loup de Mer, Ionian Sea, Greece, Ceviche

… Loup de Mer, undoubtedly, was the best fish I ever ate my entire life. It went perfectly well with my cocktail drink.

Green Salad
Hearts of romaine, dill, spring onions, manouri cheese and our Milos house dressing

Astako-Makaronada
Deep Sea Bay of Fundy lobster pasta Athenian-style

Lobster pasta was delicious. The lobster was larger than life itself, its flesh so succulent and juicy — it made the Singapore Airlines’ Lobster Thermidore a feeble toy.

Scallops

These scallops were so incredible, it could make you cry. I loved the juiciness of it — so tender and perfectly steamed, the strands of the meat would just fall in arrays at your first bite.

Lamb Chops
Colorado prime lamb chops, with Greek fried potatoes

I wished I tried these, but we were so full after eating the steamed scallops that we just wrapped it to-go.

Hands down, one of the best places to eat when in Hudson Yards.
