One of my favorite restaurants during my latest visit to NYC was Sarabeth’s. I know. This one is a restaurant chain, overpriced for a brunch place selling pancakes. Truth be told, I was craving for some upscale pancake place other than Clinton St Baking Co and couldn’t resist eating at Sarabeth’s best location: the restaurant along 59th with a view of Central Park South. Me and my obsession with brunches.

Unfortunately the weather was schizophrenic that day — pouring one minute, sunny the next (and I got sick later on after a drizzle). I couldn’t take advantage of its outdoor seating and landed in a space wedged between large sized individuals. Mind you, I had a reservation. Yes, you must absolutely book a table at any Sarabeth location.

Anyways, I got my buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and maple syrup. Oh and I got a side of Applewood Smoked Bacon. Double yum.

Loved the bacon, so crispy — and thought it was a sin for my neighboring table to request for a toasted one because they just ruined perfectly cooked bacon. It was the perfect companion to my fluffy pancakes.

Service was awesome, safety not so much. Be wary of its cramped space especially if you’re weak in immune system. It’s definitely an infestation area for you-know-what.

Otherwise, I highly recommend Sarabeth to anyone who wants something touristy yet memorable. I had a great run around Central Park and walked all the way from 59th to 34th street. Perfect excuse for me to go for another food trip that day. I took some photos; thought I’d share it with you today.
