When in Dubai Mall, it’s hard to miss the Cheesecake Factory. It’s situated right across the giant Aquarium, where everyone’s desperately trying to catch sight of Nemo’s and Dory’s (or even the divers who tirelessly clean the Aquarium).

I believe every single visitor at the Dubai Mall has been to the Cheesecake Factory at some point. Because why not?

For me, The Cheesecake Factory is not just a hypable place. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Cheesecake Factory in Brea Mall in LA. (I just don’t feel safe traveling to Los Angeles yet…) At the Dubai Mall, the Egyptian-like interiors finally fits the beautiful Middle Eastern interiors of Dubai Mall.

Of course, the quintessential house bread and butter starts your visit. They won’t give you tap water though because tap water is too salty in Dubai. Keep that in mind!

We ordered some Caesar salad for appetizer. But the portion sizes were just so huge that it was almost like an entree.

And some Tempura Shrimp. These were a bit smaller (and I noticed Dubai’s shrimps are not their forte.) but great with the dynamite dip.

As usual fish and chips. Love the portion sizes, they’re huge. If you’re not much of a big eater, you can definitely share many of the dishes.

Spaghetti and Meatballs. Love the tomatoes here, and the pasta is okay. Meatballs are large enough to split between two people.

Chicken and Broccoli Pasta. I liked this better than the Spaghetti and Meatballs.

Teriyaki Chicken with rice. This is especially good for those who can’t eat without rice. But I found the chicken tough to chew and a tad dry. Skip this.

Miso Salmon. I loved this dish. There was some sorcery in the miso sauce: sweet, creamy and not too overpowering. Meshed well with the salmon and the salmon meat was thick and juicy. I would recommend getting this dish, and the portion size can be shared with another person.

Orange chicken — Undoubtedly, Cheesecake Factory’s crowd favorite. This is a must order. The Orange Chicken is neither too sour or sweet. Nothing like those Trader Joe General Tso’s Orange Chicken packets!

Of course, you can’t leave Cheesecake Factory without having some cheesecake. My favorite has always been the Red Velvet Cheesecake, but we wanted something simple and not too sweet. We settled for the Original Cheesecake and the Strawberry Cheesecake. Both of which are served with that whipped cream — which I can’t say is good, because Vienna ruined me when it comes to cream. But I’ll save that for another blog!

Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Cheesecake Factory. The staff (especially Filipinos) are super customer service friendly and you can’t go wrong with most of the entrees. Just be wary that Dubai gives huge portion sizes all the time. It’s the hallmark of being the world’s #1 destination.
