Over 50 years later and Evelyn Overton’s The Cheesecake Factory legacy earned $1.87 billion in the year 2013. By the look of this crowd outside the store on a cold winter night, the chain is not showing signs of slowing down. Who doesn’t love cheesecake?
The elderly, the teens, and the screaming children are all clamouring for their delicious cheesecake creations. Forget the widespread obesity problem in America and the self-esteem issues. Everyone deserves a slice of The Cheesecake Factory’s growing success.
Each slice of their cheesecake costs around $7.50 and the 7-inch cheesecake costs around $25 on an average. It’s best to sample as many flavors as you can and eat with a group of friends! But when you’re facing this shelf full of colorful and chocolatey creations, it’s going to be a long, long day!
This is the hardest decision one can ever make. You can also find The Cheesecake Factory’s cheesecakes being distributed at S&R in Manila, but none of this scale. There’s definitely more varieties here. So how do you choose?
Dear reader, the cheesecake has to speak to you. This Red Velvet cheesecake has been screaming for my attention ever since I walked in their store.
The Snicker Bar Chunks and Cheesecake sounds pretty good to me, as well as the Lemoncello Cream Torte. But here’s the thing about cheesecakes: the simpler it is, the better you can grasp the cheesecake’s innate hallelujah flavor. The cookies and all that whipped cream is distracting you from the best you can make out of cheesecake.
The Oreo Cheesecake sounds absolutely tempting too.
I am a huge sucker for Strawberry Cheesecake. Nothing makes cheesecake more glorious than to enhance it with simple, citrus flavors like fresh fruits. Chocolate can easily obscure the creaminess of the cheesecake and overpower it.
Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake – $7.95/slice
Hence, I was not a big fan of their Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake which is made of Godiva dark chocolate. There was too much chocolate here that I couldn’t taste the cheesecake anymore. It was too rich for me.
Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake – $7.95
On the other hand, the Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake did not disappoint. The Red Velvet Chiffon Cake layered in between cheesecake complements it very well. It was a match made in heaven.
Original Cheesecake – $16.95
But not one of their famous flamboyant cheesecakes can compete with this: The Original Cheesecake. This is where we can taste The Cheesecake Factory’s best tasting cheesecake at its bare form. Call me a purist which I have always been when eating, but the creaminess and quality of the cream cheese was unmistakeable here.
If you get lucky, at the bottom of the receipt, you may have won a $10 coupon, just like me. Screw calories. Life is too short to pass up a rewarding slice.
