At Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, Emirates Business Class passengers will enjoy their lounge privileges at the Extime lounge, the lounge operator for Emirates in this city. While less grand than the Emirates Business and First Class Lounges at DXB, I find the Extime Lounge cozy and topnotch when it comes to food, service and atmospheric quality.
I mean, macarons before your flight? It can’t get any better than this.
And I’m not referring to McDonald’s macarons. I was impressed at the taste and texture of their caramel and coffee macarons. I lost count how many I ate.
Needless to say, I spoiled my appetite for dinner, but was still very much into eating their hot dishes. Basmati rice, Indian butter chicken and some eggplant and zucchini vegetables were very much welcome, along with vegetarian samosas. Yes, I lost count how many samosas I ate too.
But while I was full from a dinner pre-flight, there’s always room for croque monsieur, brioche and croissants.
And despite it being dinner service, I couldn’t say no to fresh yogurts from Copenhagen and a homemade tiramisu.
They have standard salad stations for vegetarians, cheese, and cold pasta.
Espresso machines for coffee lovers.
But don’t get too fixated on caffeine. Their wine selection hails from Loire Valley. And that, you shouldn’t miss ever.
Being one of the best business class lounges in the world doesn’t need to be large than life.
