While Quezon City and Makati City are foodie hubs on its own unique cuisines and specialties, anyone will say that Kapitolyo in Pasig City is an area that houses some of the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants, that eventually branched out in other cities as a result of their popularity in Kapitolyo.
2014 helms a year where the food industry reached its peak, with Kapitolyo in Pasig City leading the pack. Let’s take a look at the restaurants that made a name in the industry and raised the bar for other areas to compete with Kapitolyo’s luster for food adventurers and gourmands.
How to Locate the Best Restaurants in Kapitolyo, Pasig City
It’s good to know that Kapitolyo has two main streets, the East Drive and West Drive. East Drive caters to more budget friendly and affordable restaurants, while West Drive will be better off for special occasions and romantic dates. Why Foodies Flock This Place: Gostoso’s serve one of the best Portuguese Piri Piri or Peri Peri Chicken, that emits a smokey, charred appeal that goes well with Gostoso’s side dishes. For only P680, you get Piri Piri whole chicken, 2 olive rice, and 2 sides, and you can go for portions of pork, chicken and shrimp skewers if you like. And yes, with their chicken, Gostoso is another watering hole for you to strike during late night binges. (And Gostoso does remind me a bit of Senor Pollo.)
